Tracker segment definitions:

Click and Collect (AKA BOPIS) – Categorized as Bad or Good based on the retailer as measured by the likelihood that the retailer has the ability to buy online, pick up in store or that the ability to monitor inventory levels adequately will result is a positive BOPIS experience.

Online Shopping - Categorized as Bad or Good based on the retailer’s online site functionality and online shopping volume. Retailers who have made significant investment in their ecommerce sites would be listed as Good and will likely achieve higher share of online shopping dollars in 2020.

Mall – Retailers are categorized based on if they are typically located inside a mall or as an anchor store or not. This is useful for understanding the store square footage as well as the ability to deliver to a parking lot. Retailers not typically found in a mall are listed as “no”.

Size – Retailers are categorized based on overall volume. The Huge and Large retailers are based on the Internet Retailer 1000 list whereas medium and small are identified based on how many states the retailer sells into.
