More than 150,000 companies around the world rely on Salesforce’s customer relationship management (CRM) platform to manage all their customer interactions across marketing, sales, e-commerce, and support.
With Salesforce, you can manage customer relationships across the lifecycle to inspire new sales, continued loyalty, and upsells.
However, Salesforce is just one source of data that companies need to leverage if they want to better understand their customers and their business.
That’s why Domo offers several turnkey APIs that make it simple to link your Salesforce data with the rest of your data sources for the 360-degree understanding you need to drive data-driven commerce.
By using Domo’s Salesforce integrations to combine and visualize data for your entire customer journey—from prospect to acquisition to retention—you can unlock new insights into your pipeline and customer experience.
There are several Salesforce connectors available as part of Domo’s expansive library of over 1,000 pre-built connectors. And they were all designed to help enterprises quickly import their Salesforce CRM data into Domo and integrate it with the rest of their business data, without any time-consuming integrations or development.
This allows you to combine different datasets with Salesforce data for enhanced insights while making Salesforce insights available to the entire business for self-service analysis.
Let’s take a look at some of the options available straight out of the box in Domo …
Salesforce Connector
The primary Salesforce connector lets you extract your Salesforce CRM data from Enterprise or Unlimited editions of Salesforce directly into Domo.
This will also allow you to easily combine Salesforce CRM data with data from any other platform into a single, intuitive dashboard so you can leverage your customer pipeline insights to inform your overall business outlook. All an API-enabled user has to do is authenticate to Salesforce and then give Domo permission to access data.
Salesforce Advanced Connector
This connector lets you pull in the same reports as the standard connector—but uses a graphics-based UI rather than the text-based interface of the standard connector.
Here’s a tip to help you maximize usage of the connectors: Use the Object Browser mode in the Salesforce Connector to bring in fields from each related object into the same dataset. This will save you from pulling in the objects independently and joining them in a DataFlow.
Salesforce With Upsert Connector
The Salesforce With Upsert Connector supports the Upsert mode along with Append and Replace modes for scheduling datasets. If you restate previously published data, you can use partition and upsert capabilities to update your datasets with restated data and select a rolling window of data to keep in Domo.
Salesforce Writeback Connector
With the Salesforce Writeback Connector, you can export data from a Domo dataset back into Salesforce for further use.
For example, you might enrich your Salesforce CRM data with data from your finance system by combining the datasets in Domo, then sending the joined data back to Salesforce so more people can access these new insights from the data.
Salesforce ExactTarget (Marketing Cloud) Connector
If you use Salesforce Marketing Cloud (formerly ExactTarget), the Salesforce ExactTarget (Marketing Cloud) Connector makes it simple to create reports based on account, group, and email activity.
Combine your ExactTarget data with your other marketing data to get a clearer picture of your email campaign effectiveness in a single, interactive and real-time dashboard.
For best results when using the Salesforce ExactTarget (Marketing Cloud) Connector, verify your credentials and have list IDs if you plan to pull Send reports for specific lists.
Salesforce Pardot Connector
The Salesforce Pardot Connector lets you create reports based on the results of your automated marketing and demand generation campaigns managed through Salesforce Pardot.
Once this data is in Domo, you’ll be able to combine it with other marketing and non-marketing data sources to make more intelligent decisions about how and where to deploy campaigns.
When using the Salesforce Pardot Connector, use Append to pull only the data modified or created since the last run to limit the number of calls.
If you want to pull deleted prospects, use the Updated date filter, as this is the date that is modified when a prospect is deleted in Pardot.
Salesforce Radian6 (Social Studio) Connector
The Salesforce Radian6 (Social Studio) Connector allows you to connect your social listening and engagement data into Domo so you can do custom reporting, create visualizations, and extract post data for further data analysis.
Use the connector to retrieve data about topic information and insight segmentation and then combine it with other data sources such as customer information or social activity to drive better customer engagements.
Together, these connectors make it simple to track your marketing performance and its impact on finance, operations, customer support, and other data sources tracked in Domo.
Best of the Rest
Domo also offers a number of integrations that help you optimize your investment and use of Salesforce itself:
- For measuring collaboration, the Salesforce Chatter Connector provides you with an at-a-glance view of your Chatter data so you can measure and optimize how your business community is working together. This can help you understand who your top collaborators are and which departments are lagging behind so you can make strategic changes to drive usage throughout the enterprise.
- The Salesforce Managed Package Validator Connector helps you validate that your Salesforce Managed Package has been set up correctly. By hitting your Salesforce Managed Packet endpoint, it can instantly confirm that everything is working as it should so you can fix any errors that may cause downtime or delay for users.
- Database.com is an enterprise database built for the cloud that allows your developers to focus on building apps instead of managing and maintaining databases and hardware. With the the the the the the Database.com Connector, you can pull your Database.com data into Domo using Salesforce Object Query Language (SOQL) queries so you can measure its usage.
