Employee engagement impacts the entire organization.
When it’s up, so is productivity. When it’s down, you’ve got a serious problem on your hands. Organizing a few parties or handing out spot bonuses isn’t the fix. You need to examine your culture from the inside out.
Not to give away the punchline, but employee engagement matters more than you may think: organizations with high employee engagement experience a total shareholder return 19% better than average. By contrast, low-engagement organizations suffer a shareholder return 44% below average. Ouch.
