Capturing the Impact of Unilever Canada’s Day of Service
By Ben Schein, SVP of Product

Giving back is core to Domo’s mission. One way we serve our community is offering our tools through the Domo for Good program. Another is lending our people to help organizations doing incredible things in the world do incredible things with data.

In 2020, Domo teamed up with Unilever, the multinational consumer goods company, to build the data management system supporting United for America, an initiative to support the American people through the COVID-19 pandemic.
Our work gave the Unilever teams real-time information about how resources were benefitting communities around the country. We were thrilled this partnership won Ventana Research’s Digital Leadership Award in Analytics.
The next year, we worked with Unilever U.S. again, this time on the company’s second annual Day of Service; together, we delivered actionable, real-time insights to more than 170 supporting organizations.
Unilever Canada heard about that work and asked for support in organizing its annual Day of Service in September 2021; we felt honored to help. To do so, we built a new form using the Form Builder app, which allowed the team to track data on the Days of Service from 2021 to 2024.
Each year, we agreed to help the team with small tweaks to improve their experience. Now, over the four years, we can see the amazing impact of the Unilever Canada team and all the different ways they have volunteered.
The team’s excellent work is below, and we believe it clearly shows how data can help us capture the impact we can have on our communities and the world.
